In an effort to help all our customers and potentially new customers, we are happy to provide you with these frequently asked questions, which, it is hoped, could answer most of the questions you may have. If you have a question that is not answered here, by all means contact us today and we will by happy to answer any question (s) you might have.


How do you ship your cookies?

All our cookies and our baked goods are packaged in sealed attractive tin boxes and are shipped via either UPS, FedEx, Purolator or the mail system. Shipping charges are always paid by the buyer, directly to the UPS, FedEx or Purolator truck driver at the time of the delivery, or to the postmaster in case your received your cookies by mail..


How long will it take for me to receive the cookies I ordered through your website?

If your order was placed on a business day, it usually takes 48 hours for you to get your cookies. As soon as our cookies are baked, they are packed in tin boxes and shipped either the same day or the next business day. At Manhattan Cookies, the high quality of all our baked products and delivering them on time is our most important concern.


How secure is it to order something over the Internet? I don't want anybody to see my credit card number!

Ordering through the Internet is even more secure than using a physical credit card at a restaurant or gas station. We use the old and trusted PayPal system, and it is known as being one of the best and safest method of paying on the Internet with a credit card. When you fill up your gas tank and you pay with your credit card, what guarantees do you have that the gas attendant won't make a carbon copy of your card number and use it to buy things for himself? The same analogy can be made for the case of the restaurant, etc.

When you pay with your credit card on the Manhattan Cookies website, we don't even see your card number, nor do we need it. As soon as you click on the PayPal "Pay Now" button, your credit card details are sent, via a secure connection to PayPal directly, so we don't need to have your number. Once the transaction has been approved, PayPal sends us a payment confirmation and then your order is processed the same day, if received before 5.00 PM EST. Note that PayPal is a fully-owned and operating subsidiary of eBay, a multi-billion dollar public company in the US.


I don't like paying through the Internet. Can I send a check instead?

Yes. All checks must be made to Manhattan Cookies and mailed to our business address. Note however that we will have to wait until your check clears the bank before processing your order. In Canada, this usually takes five business days. In the US, a check takes up to 21 days before it clears. Internet payments are still the fastest and the preferred method of payment. The choice is your's.


We are a company and we wish to offer Manhattan Cookies regularly to our most-valued clients and some of our senior management officers. Do we qualify for a discount if we open an account with you?

Yes. Any business that opens an account with us and orders more than US $300 of baked goods immediately qualify for a 5% price discount. For orders of US $1,000 or more, the discount is 7% off all our regular prices. Orders over US $5,000 qualify for a full 10% price discount on any of our baked goods. Manhattan Cookies already supplies its quality products to various high-end restaurants in the US and Canada, as well as a few private hotels.
